September 26, 2024 marked the launch of this year's SCALE AI Venture Program, an initiative of InsurTech Hub Munich that redefines the potential of artificial intelligence in insurance through collaboration. The program brings together insurers, technology companies, scale-ups and start-ups to launch scalable AI innovations for the entire insurance ecosystem.

"We promote the growth of young technology companies by providing access to insurer networks and imparting industry expertise and regulatory knowledge," explains Miriam Hook, Managing Director of InsurTechHub Munich, in her welcoming speech. She emphasized the importance of cooperation as the core of the program.

A program with international appeal
With over 120 applications from 28 countries, the SCALE AI Venture Program underlines its global appeal. After a careful selection process, 16 ventures from Germany, the UK, Canada and Switzerland are taking part in this year's Venture Program.
Dr. Klaus Driever, CEO of InsurTechHub Munich, is impressed: "The breadth of the technology companies presented and the subject areas covered by artificial intelligence are remarkable. The internationality in particular stands out - these scale-ups and start-ups bring innovative impetus from all over the world to Germany."

Focus on promotion and networking
In the coming months, the selected ventures will work closely with partners from the InsurTech Hub Munich membership to explore collaborations, tackle joint projects and implement and scale their innovative solutions. They will benefit from the extensive expertise of the network.
"It is becoming clear that networking and interdisciplinary collaboration are essential in order to integrate innovations holistically into organizations. This is the key to a more sustainable and faster transformation, especially when it comes to combining automation, AI and regulation," emphasizes Christine Draws, Board Member of the Bavarian Chamber of Insurance Companies and member of the Advisory Board of the InsurTech Hub Munich.
