Small and medium-sized enterprises make up around 99% of the approximately 3.4 million companies in Germany and represent an important business segment for insurers. Due to the high degree of heterogeneity and varying risk profiles of companies, SMEs offer great potential for insurers to develop targeted offers and improve their digital sales capabilities in this market. Data, analyses and automation for this segment as well as targeted products relating to cyber security and sustainability are the focus of the NXT:Commercial innovation program, which is geared towards the further development of the SME segment in the insurance industry.

As part of the innovation program , the InsurTech Hub Munich has brought together leading insurers, technology companies, cross-industry players and international start-ups to address these challenges.
