With Peter Bauer (Münchener Verein Insurance Group), Marcus Eppinger (R+V Insurance), André Nakonetzki (Provinzial Group), and Dr. Axel Schell (Allianz Technology), the Advisory Board of InsurTech Hub Munich has gained InsurTech Hub Munich prominent insurance executives. At the committee’s meeting on May 7, 2026, at the “Munich Urban Colab,” Advisory Board Chair Dr. Markus Juppe thanked all attendees for supporting the Hub with their expertise and enthusiasm for the industry’s transformation!
Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Ulrich Buhl was honored for his long-standing support of the InsurTech Hub. In addition to his work at the University of Augsburg, he established the FIM Research Institute for Information Management and the Business Informatics division of Fraunhofer FIT. His seat on the advisory board will be taken over by Prof. Dr. Niklas Kühl (University of Bayreuth / Fraunhofer FIT Generative AI Lab).
The assembly observed a moment of silence in memory of Prof. Dr. Nadine Gatzert, who passed away in April. This is a tragic loss for the ITHM Advisory Board, but above all for the family and friends of the highly esteemed professor of insurance and risk management at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg.
