Global Accelerator Program 2025 - Innovation meets international community

From July 14 to 17, 2025, Munich once again became a meeting place for innovation from the international InsurTech scene. As part of the third cycle of the Global Accelerator Program, initiated by InsurTech Hub Munich together with InsurTech Israel, 17 outstanding start-ups from 16 countries came together to work on the solutions of tomorrow together with experts and partners from the insurance and innovation industry.

A total of four local hosting partners - Markel, NTT DATA, QAware and Google Munich - opened their doors to this year's cohort and contributed significantly to the success of the week with their insights.

The week started with a get-together at Markel and quickly picked up speed. Interactive sessions, roundtables and impulse formats focused on open exchange. Exchanging ideas, discussing, learning from each other - whether on topics such as artificial intelligence, embedded insurance, regulatory framework conditions or venture capital.

NTT DATA provided exciting insights into its role as an innovation driver in insurance IT and demonstrated in a practical way how InsurTechs can work successfully with established insurers. QAware, in turn, provided the ideal setting for in-depth discussions on market access, regulatory requirements and the concrete implementation of AI in the insurance environment.

"What makes the Global Accelerator Program so special is the lively community. Startups, mentors, investors and companies met as equals to shape things together and delve deep into the challenges and opportunities of the industry. I was particularly impressed by how openly and personally experienced industry heads shared their knowledge - that was incredibly valuable for the start-ups," says Esther Prax, Program Director at InsurTech Hub Munich, summarizing the relevance of the format.

With participants from Africa, Europe, Latin America, Australia, India and the USA, the international reach of the program was impressively demonstrated. The topics ranged from healthcare technologies, AI-supported process automation and microinsurance to satellite-based risk management, financial data platforms and usage-based insurance.

The Global Accelerator Program is an initiative of Kobi Bendelak, CEO of InsurTech Israeland has already taken place in Tel Aviv and Des Moines, Iowa (USA). With the third cohort in Munich, the program has now been launched for the first time together with the InsurTech Hub Munich in Europe for the first time - another milestone for this fast-growing global platform.

"The diversity of the start-ups not only brings new perspectives, but also new partnerships," says Kobi Bendelak. "It's impressive to see how start-ups from such different markets share similar challenges - and develop solutions together. This is exactly why we launched the program: To create a global InsurTech community that learns from each other and grows together."
