Munich, October 16, 2018 - Manuel Holzhauer is taking over the role of Managing Director at the BMWi-funded InsurTech Hub Munich (ITHM) with immediate effect. The 46-year-old comes from Munich Re, where he most recently worked as Senior Manager Innovation. In his new role at the InsurTech Hub, he will be responsible for the operational development and scaling of the hub as well as the transfer of knowledge between InsurTechs, insurance companies and large corporations.

Since our foundation, we have been able to support a total of 35 InsurTech start-ups and attract important strategic partners, such as Roche, to our platform. About Manuel Holzhauer:
Manuel Holzhauer began his career at the consulting firms PwC and Accenture, where he provided advisory and operational support to banks and insurance companies in their digitalization projects. He then moved to MunichRe, where he worked on various projects in the areas of reinsurance and underwriting, among others. Most recently, Manuel Holzhauer held the position of Senior Manager Innovation at Munich Re, where he founded a start-up in the field of social innovation together with the largest privately owned South African insurer Holland Insurance Group.
