Symposium and Meetup Micromobility

Together with the Digital Hub Mobility, the InsurTech Hub Munich is organizing the symposium followed by a public meetup.

Munich, May 07, 2019

The micromobility revolution in Germany is imminent: the adoption of the Ordinance on Small Electric Vehicles (eKFV) by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure paves the way for e-scooters and other small vehicles as an intelligent component in the intermodal mobility mix in German cities. What impact will this have on urban mobility? How can local authorities and insurers best prepare for this new form of mobility? An exchange should provide answers.

Together with the Digital Hub Mobility, the InsurTech Hub Munich is hosting the first Micromobility Symposium in Munich to offer interested cities and insurers a platform for an open exchange. Following an explanation of eKFV by the BMVI, city representatives from the USA and Europe will present their experiences with e-scooter sharing. Several new providers will pitch their offerings. On this basis, key issues relating to small electric vehicles will be discussed in workshops and initial solutions identified.

The aim is to develop a guideline for dealing with the new mobility services in urban areas. In the public part from 6 p.m., providers of e-scooter sharing services will once again pitch their services and discuss them with experts as part of a panel. Finally, there will be ample opportunity for direct discussions and networking. Participants include city administrations & municipal transport companies, e-scooter providers and insurers.
