InsurTech goes to school - The InsurTech Hub Munich and the German Insurance Academy announce the launch of a comprehensive educational initiative

Munich / Berlin, October 8, 2018 - InsurTech Hub Munich (www.insurtech-munich.com), which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, and the German Insurance Academy(www.versicherungsakademie.de) have announced the launch of a comprehensive strategic partnership. The aim of the cooperation is to develop joint training courses for employees in the insurance industry in order to sensitize them to the opportunities and challenges in the field of "InsurTech".

Ronny Schröpfer, Managing Director of the German Insurance Academy: "We are delighted to be designing joint training programs with the many experts and founders of the InsurTech Hub Munich and to be preparing managers and young professionals from the insurance industry for the future with our DVA university certificate courses. The e-insurance and data science seminars will be the first training courses to be held at Werk 1 in Munich in the coming months. We will continue to develop further formats in the future to expand the digital skills of our participants."

Johannes Wagner, CEO of InsurTech Hub Munich , adds: "The world of work in the insurance industry has changed a lot in recent years due to digitalization. To ensure that employees from the insurance industry are equipped for the working world of tomorrow, we need to take care of targeted and future-oriented training and development measures today. About the program
From 2019, the German Insurance Academy will be offering the university certificate series "Innovation in Insurance", which currently consists of five two-day face-to-face seminars and two online courses. The courses are offered jointly with professors from LMU Munich, Maastricht University, Leipzig University and Kiel University of Applied Sciences. All courses are dedicated to digital innovations in the insurance industry from a business, media and technological perspective. About the German Insurance Academy
The Deutsche Versicherungsakademie (DVA) GmbH was founded by the three industry associations (Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft e.V.
