InsurTech Hub Munich and Versicherungsforen Leipzig establish partnership and launch series of events on future topics in the insurance industry in Munich.
The InsurTech Hub Munich is expanding its network by partnering with Versicherungsforen Leipzig, one of the most important driving forces in the German insurance industry. Versicherungsforen Leipzig has been supporting companies in the insurance industry with their research and development projects for over 18 years. Together with their clients, they research and analyze new trends and topics, work out specific requirements and jointly develop solutions. With the initiative of the New Players Network, a start-up network for the insurance industry, and the sister company Digital Impact Labs Leipzig, the topic of innovation has also been increasingly focused on in recent years.
As a first action, the two players are jointly planning to deepen and expand the qualitative exchange between science, start-ups and insurance companies. The focus will be on organizing joint events that address issues such as how the insurance industry can meet the challenges of digitalization and use digital developments to its advantage. The series of events is scheduled to kick off in summer 2018. Experts from the partner companies of the InsurTech Hub Munich will meet professors and doctoral students from renowned insurance chairs and discuss current technological developments such as machine learning, big data and blockchain in joint workshops with start-ups. In exclusive executive events for InsurTech Hub Munich member companies, digital challenges are discussed in keynote speeches. Based on the findings, the member companies of the InsurTech Hub expect important impulses for the digitalization of the industry and best practices for application in their own company.
The partnership with Versicherungsforen Leipzig provides InsurTech Hub Munich with a unique network of over 230 companies within the insurance industry that are interested in exchanging ideas and experiences. The numerous events organized by Versicherungsforen Leipzig, the start-up know-how of the New Players Network and the cross-industry methodological expertise in innovation management of Digital Impact Labs Leipzig offer the InsurTech Hub a broad spectrum of specialist input and the Hub's start-ups the opportunity to position their business models in the insurance market in a targeted manner.
