The ITHM project course in collaboration with the Munich Risk and Insurance Center (MRIC) at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) has become a tradition. Prof. Johannes Maier’s master’s students tackle cutting-edge practical issues from our insurance community.
The research projects submitted this year by Provinzial Group, LV 1871, and Allianz focused on the role of insurance agents and brokers in the age of AI. The key question was: How can technology support them in engaging with customers, preparing quotes, and providing customer service?
What makes the ITHM partnership with LMU particularly exciting is that students not only tackle these issues using the latest scientific tools, but also contribute their perspective as future customers. At the same time, their close collaboration with insurers gives them insights into day-to-day business operations.
On July 15, the student groups will present the results of the course, which has been running since early May. Attendance at the results presentation, which will take place at the LV 1871 offices, is by invitation only.
