New startup partner for InsurTech Hub Munich (ITHM): established in Graz, the award-winning healthcare platform Instahelp is planning a foothold in Germany with its online mental health services.
David Fösleitner, Instahelp’s Business Development Manager, explains: “With ITHM, we have found a strong partner for building business relations in Germany. Mental health is becoming increasingly relevant to the insurance industry and represents a significant cost factor if adequate care is not taken seriously.” He says that it is crucial to support those affected quickly – the ideal being preventive measures. “Enter Instahelp: through us, advice seekers are connected with a specialized psychologist, hassle-free and within 24 hours,” says Fösleitner. The range of topics that customers use to address Instahelp with is very broad: from stress management or depression to relationship and self-esteem issues.
Established startups enriching the ITHM network
“Partnerships with established startups offer valuable opportunities for exchange – both for our corporate network and for the early stage startups in our accelerator,” says Maximilian Conrad, Cooperation Manager at LV1871 and ITHM Ambassador. He adds: “Digital solutions in life, health and personal accident insurance often require a special relationship of trust with the user. The same applies to preventive measures, which are a central issue for us, as an insurer. It’s great that Instahelp is successfully tackling these challenges.”
Instahelp is a digital mental health platform and provides advice from experienced psychologists around the clock. The consultation takes place exclusively online via text chat, audio or video function. Instahelp is active in five countries and has already advised over 25,000 people. Currently, the company employs 75 certified psychologists. In addition to training as clinical and health psychologists, they also have more than four years of professional experience and additional training in online counseling.
