„Plug and Play Munich – Health meets Insurance“ Meetup on April 11th

Last week, exciting Health Tech Startups gathered with numerous industry representatives, investors and members of the InsurTech Hub Munich to discuss the close link of health and insurance and the indication this has for both industries – established players and new, innovative ventures alike. Daniel Parera of TVM Capital and Ravi Kurani of Earlybird Venture Capital kicked off the event with a Fireside discussion about trends and innovation in Insurtech and Healthtech, about Corporate Innovation Departments vs. Venture Capital Advisory as well as challenges of founders while working with VCs.

Following the fireside chat, Startups from Batch Zero of both the HealthTech and „InsurTech Europe powered by Plug and Play“ programs pitched their exciting ideas on stage, displaying once more how insurance is a partner of many areas of life.

The pitching startups were:

Medicus – Medicus converts health data with its cryptic numbers and medical language into a visual experience with easy-to-understand health insights and actionable recommendations. More information at http://medicus.ai/

inveox – inveox automates the sample preparations processes in histopathology. Their laboratory automation increases the efficiency in the laboratory, increases process reliability and excludes potential errors. More information at http://inveox.com/start-2/

After the Startup pitches, the networking reception followed, with an interesting exchange in a friendly atmosphere. After this successful event, we are looking forward to more upcoming events with Plug and Play!
