TECH DAYS, Munich: A colorful hustle and bustle with stalls, speakers and a lot of tech knowhow could be experienced at Muffatwerk on Monday, May 14th . Several startups, companies and other partners had the opportunity to present their visionary ideas, and already implemented technical achievements. All visitors had the chance to test, touch and exchange information about Smart IoT, Information Security, InsurTech, Blockchain, Mobility, Robotics, AI / Data Analytics and Academic Research.
TECH is in our name, so naturally we could not miss out on this great event of technical expertise and best practice exchange. We hosted the InsurTech slot live on stage with exciting contributions by Allianz, Deloitte Digital, ARAG, Die Bayerische, CosmosDirekt, Fair Fleet and Munich RE in front of an enthusiastic audience.
After a short introduction by Dr. Florian Mann from Werk1, Bob Crozier (Head of Blockchain Center of Competence at Allianz) explained why blockchain technology will significantly disrupt the industry. Marc Stiller from Deloitte Digital continued with a keynote on AI. By elaborating on insurance use cases he showed that AI is actually more than just another buzzword, but holds real potential for the whole industry. Dario Manns (CIO Fair Fleet) and Roman Bügler (Munich Re Innovation Lab) presented tech solutions for the industry. The panel discussion with Nicolas Pöltl (ARAG), Johannes Kestel (Die Bayerische), Marco Kallenborn (CosmosDirekt) and Hendrik Schulz (Allianz) focused on innovative projects as chatbots and video ident. The panel showed: the answer of the insurance industry to a changing competitive environment and digitization is definitely: challenge accepted!
